Purple Rain - Trailer (deleted/extended scenes)

Trailers are a treasure trove for finding footage that never makes it into the film itself. Often the trailer is released and cut before the film is even finished, hence why the extra or “lost” footage.

Some scenes from the Purple Rain Script (http://corky.net/scripts/purpleRain.html) were filmed but didn’t end up in the film including:

- The Kid showing up at Appollonia’s rehearsal (part of this is in the When Doves Cry montage)

- A sex scene taking place in a barn with an illusion to “purple rain” (again appears partly in the montage)

- Morris and Jerome sneaking around Prince’s house and bumping into Appollonia

- Extended role for Jill

I really hope these scenes have survived somewhere on film over the years, I’d personally love to see them in full!
